  • Guidi has been tanning leather since the 19th century. Specializing in artisanal footwear, today Ruggero Guidi sits at the helm of his eponymous label, recreating hand selected silhouettes with intense manufacturing practices. Just a year before establishment in 2004, Guidi showcased his creations to Alessia Righi Amante of Carpe Diem, who suggested he experiment with “object dying”. The process, pioneered by Carol Christian Poell, engulfs a final product in pigment to achieve a distinct and rather unique patterning among the sole and upper as a whole. Since, Guidi has universally employed the technique and is now recognizable for their uniform palette and rigorous production method.

As one of the most unique Guidi silhouettes to debut, these gorgeous boots feature a fully painted exterior atop a black suede base. Similar to many of Martin Margiela’s designs, the paint has cracked with wear, demonstrating the passing of time and age through a visual medium. Equipped with a metallic back-zip closure mechanism and wooden heel, the laceless silhouette is in great condition throughout, tagged as a rare size 44 / US 11.
