SS05 Junya Watanabe Multi Pocket ‘Cargo’ Sling Shoulder Bag

Junya Watanabe’s Spring Summer 2005 collection was vibrant, outlandish and heavily centred around hike core. Ahead of its time, the show focused on garments with utilitarian purpose—multi-use items all within a neon colour palette. Junya Watanabe experimented with a variety of patterns and hiking attire, even fitting models with carabiners and heaps of paracord. He implemented cargo pockets on many designs, and used weather resistant textiles, like Gore-Tex, to truly solidify the desired aesthetic. An unusual project for Watanabe that stemmed garments of the future, perfectly blending with aesthetics of the now.

Debuting in the Spring 2005 collection, this incredibly rare sling bag comes complete with 10 compartments and metallic zipper accents.
