Raf Simons’ Spring 2003 collection titled ‘Consumed’ plays on the hyper materialistic traits of contemporary consumer culture. Referencing artists like Ashley Bickerton, he alongside American artist Peter de Potter created collage based graphics printed atop oversized silhouettes, tying assorted portraits to logos, symbols and general cultural iconography. This crewneck illustrates each of these elements beautifully, depicting a man in an ad-like setting just above typography that reads “ENTERTAINMENT & TORTURE 1. Do you own a video game system? If yes which of the following?…”. Tagged as a size small in great condition throughout.
